It seems to me that after the last major has been played that people’s interest in “tour golf” wanes away

Across various social media platforms the chat seems to be minimal

The viewing figures outside the majors has dropped across the board

So have you stopped watching it

Is it because of the split that’s going on ?

The fact the last major is done in July and with no Ryder Cup then it’s a big hole

I only ever had a passing interest in the majors. Now that I'm not bothering with Sky Sports I won't even be watching those.
Honestly, I'd rather spend an hour watching Golf Mates hacking it around a hidden gem course on YouTube.

I still watch highlights every week from about three tours.
I'm a fan of golf not just xyz tournament or abc player

Every sport has the same though, football 'fans' who only watch their club etc

I'm not 100% sure that there has ever been a big interest or viewing of 'Tour Golf'
I still watch nearly all of the European Tour especially if I'm home and I still really enjoy it. If I've not watched the last day live, I watch the around midnight highlights on Sunday evening
The PGA I can take it or leave it, and normally only watch the bigger events if I'm in, around 6 to 8 a year
Nearly all the guys I've played golf with over the years (bar 1) have only ever watched The Ryder Cup & The Majors and this is normally only the Masters, as it's on in the evening.
So bit in bold seems a bit inaccurate unless this relates to US viewing figures

I watch a decent chunk of the DPWT when I can..so times the time difference gets in the way.
I'll watch The Open and The Masters - not too fussed about the others.
PGAT can get very samey....a lot of the courses look identical although I'll watch events at places like Riviera and Bay Hill
Ryder and Solheim cups are always watched and I'll watch the LET/LPGA if I can....

Like all sports, but really prefer to watch live sports, Football, Golf & NFL, in the main.

If no live sports are on I’ll flick through the channels.

I don't have Sky and dont make any effort to watch it when in the Clubhouse either.
I found the coverage too "Americanised" and the commentary to insipid to bother with it. Also the split that has occoured has also ruined it. I'm not interested in boo yaa games or actions.
I should really add, that even the Majors are slipping down my interest ladder with too much personality interest and not enough product.

If it isn't on freeview, then I don't see it.

I watch some majors action on youtube.

I would watch more if it came on free-to-view telly again.
But I've always found watching golf on telly to be just a bit too much time-consuming. The Open, The Masters and Ryder Cup would hold my attention though.

I dip in and out of tour golf, very much depending on the location of the tournament. The DP Tour tends to be more interesting, to me, September onwards, whereas the PGA drops off a cliff then.

I don't care for the select, invitation PGA comps so I won't bother watching that tour until February or so. I don't follow Liv.

So in answer to the question, yes I do watch tour golf outside of the majors. Not religiously but enough.

Normally, I would watch the final day as the previous days are not as interesting coverage is mainly restricted to putting. As golf is the only sport I watch on Sky TV, I am seriously thinking of ditching Sky Sports altogether. Unfortunately due to our location and dismal internet connection, Sky is the only real provider for TV.

I'll watch US golf from Kapalua in January to US Open in June. Timing works, I can watch it in the evenings.
Then July to October I'm more interested in the European tournaments. Don't really to get to watch much live apart from Sunday afternoons as I'm at work during the week or out an about at the weekend.
In November I'll follow the climax of the DP Tour in the middle east.
I have zero interest in the "wrap around" PGA tour events in autumn, or the endless South African events in November and December.
Although I'm interested in the PGA play offs and Tour Championship in August I don't tend to follow it closely because I'm usually on holiday.

I have Sky for the football.
But I love the Open and enjoy most of the other majors though it depends when they finish as to whether I watch them through to the end.
Most of the other stuff I will occasionally watch if I'm on my own but rarely make a point of watching. Just as likely to watch DP world, PGA or LPGA really.
Wouldn't know how to watch LIV.

I watch the DP World Tour a lot more than I watch the PGA, a large part of that is the timing issue afternoon verses evening
viewing.

What I have noticed is that Sky seems to be more interested in showing the PGA rather rather than the DPWT. On Thursdays and Fridays they often start showing featured groups on the PGA before the DPWT has finished.

I’ll be honest, I watch the Majors, but beyond that I confine myself largely to watching events if I like the look of the course, or if it’s one I’ve played.

I’m not a huge fan of the run of the mill PGA Tour events beyond one or two, and don’t get a lot of time to watch DP World Tour events because I’m invariably doing something when they’re on TV.

Nothing better than a cold beer watching the LIV highlights after each day, saves the in-depth droning of the normal stuff and only takes an hour.

However, if I fancy a Power Nap then a bit of PGA stuff is great for pushing me into my happy place.

I'll watch anything that's interesting - the PGAT doesn't really tick too many boxes for me - but I have watched more than I used to since the advent of LIV - obviously I consume a LOT of the LIV content - primarily due to the short viewing window required to watch the action.

Shame the Asian Tour isn't more easily accessible here in the UK, they go to some great locations and the fields are strengthening on an ongoing basis - plus there also seems to be a decent number of young players plying their trade on the tour.

Plenty of YouTube stuff through the week, when there's nothing competitive to float my boat.

Watch way fewer PGAT these days, also lesser extent fewer DPWT - but that's mainly due to when PGAT dumped their streaming app.
Still follow most events for those though, plus the AT also.
Viewing is mainly majors and the free-to-air (for now) 'naughty gang' 😅

I only watch the majors, but that was always the case really. I've voted 'some passing interest' because I do see the updates on who's won each week via Facebook and suchlike.
