Never heard of or come across these until this weekend.

Had a round with my dad which doesn't happen often, as he plays at a different course to me. But he has just bought a Tour Edge Exotics XCG5 driver. He hit it bloody miles, and said he picked it up as a bargain ex demo for £100.

Had a quick go with it and felt very nice. Didn't know if anyone had any experience of these and what they're like as a brand. From googling it seems more american sales that anywhere else.

Our Pro used to sell them. Never really gave them a look, but when I looked at a 3 wood, the price was horrendously expensive, around £249 if I remember rightly. Supposed to be really nice though!

Murph has/had some - expensive new but they do seem to work.
Rare to find over here although they are becoming more popular.

".....a handsome, forgiving cannon on the tee box....."

he got a bargain, and it's supposed to be an excellent piece of equipement.

anything whose 'con' is not being particulairly workable has space at the long end of my bag.

Good kit and high quality shafts. TEE is renowned for long hitting clubs for better players. Quite a few Tour pros have used their stuff even though they don't have any staff players. You can get them from Foremost stores, I think.

Thats where he said he pick it up from, local club he visits with his friends regularly has a Foremost outlet shop. Picked up there last Wednesday. Looking forward to heading down the range with him to try it out.

I've had a TEE 3-wood (well 2 until recently) for years - the CB1.

One of the first to get Titanium sounding (therefore feeling) right - in a medium deep faced FW.

Classic look at address and pretty much a rocket. Replaced in the main bag with another old-school cracker only because the shaft works better. West Byfleet was/is? the home of TEE in the South. Saw plenty at Fairhaven (Lancs) a few years ago too. Have seen a few woods and a couple of 'whole bags' recently too.

Recent models are a bit 'fussy' for me though.

excellent woods. they are expensive as the stock shafts are proper custom shafts and not something made for the larger companies.
Brandt Snedeker uses the 3 wood.
like all golf clubs, lovely when you hit the correctly.

Had a go of it down the range with my dad tonight.

Have to say it was superb, feel was really good but the classic look of it was simply stunning.

Just a shame that when I hit my irons after I got a case of the ******

Custom fitted and sold at our gaff. One of the Pro's uses them, and quite a few of the members have them in their bag. I thought about it when he fitted me fro Ping's, but I couldn't get round the names.........Exotics and Bazooka.....just couldn't live with those in my bag.

Exotics is a sub brand like TP in Taylor Made. The Bazooka is from their lower price range but isn't made from high end parts like Exotics.

Tour Edge are a company similar to Adams in origin - small start up, focusing mainly on US sales and then grows from a cult following. Obviously in Adams case, they grew pretty well until unfortunately TM bought them for their design work and will no doubt spoil them!

TE are distributed from the Foremost group which is a buying group for PGA pro's and associates. The Exotics stuff is very well made and uses component shafts rather than the cheaper "made for xxx" shafts but as has been said previously is very expensive for a pretty much unheard of brand.

Second hand or bargain bin at good prices represent very good value for these products.
