Can't say I remember seeing disc brakes on road racing bikes before.

Haven't seen any of it yet (didn't realise it was on) but how are they dealing with the road side crowds and social distancing. I assume they are simply not bothering
It’s good to see ITV4 covering the whole day, just a shame they still use Boardman.i wasn’t aware the road bikes had embraced disc brakes, but see the benefits of the, Im not sure though that cable operated are worth the weight saving over braking performance loss
I think you need to watch it before commenting. The crowds are way down, and masked up.
Bit off. Asked a civil question as it is the most watched sporting event and given the current pandemic I just wondered how the organisers were going to handle such massive crowds. If people have already taken the decision not to attend (or not been allowed to) and are wearing masks then fine. Given France were on the list of countries where travel meant quarantine upon return and their high infection numbers thought it was a valid question and not specific to "having to watch"
I wasn’t sure, as I know early disc brakes were cable operated. I’ve been a Hope user for a long time on my full Susser, and I fully know the braking power a hydraulic disc brake has over any other bike brake...even the old Magura hydraulic rim brakesNot sure that they are still cable operated judging by this;
