Very tough conditions tonight at our place, CSS was 73 against par/SSS of 70. Apparently the wind speed was over 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. I don't think I've played in stronger stuff.

Positives:
1) Managed to make buffer, even with a 10 at the par 4 11th!
2) Good solid putting (33), which I'm taking all the credit for after my practising of the last week or so.
3) Hit some decent long irons into the wind, with good control on the line
4) Used my driver for the first time this season - it's not as scary as I remember!

Negatives:
1) More work is needed on my chipping from 15/20 yards. Shanked a few, which I think is down to me looking to see where the ball has gone. Trust the shot!
2) No GIRs, not too hard on myself with the wind it was tough to judge the line and strength into the greens.
3) I need to change my strategy on the 11th. I know it's all in my head, but as soon as I stand on the tee I've got conflicting ideas.

Overall, pleased with the round, beat my player partners by 3 and 8 shots respectively.

Thanks for listening...

It was wild in Dundee tonight as well the water was coming right over the wall at the Rail Bridge not seen that in a long time,my mates played in the sweep tonight and the sky caddies were binned ,3-4 club wind easy they said

I played Mortonhall this afternoon off the Blues. Hard enough without the wind. Highest wind recorded at home this pm was 30 Kts. (35mph)
Blairgowrie tomorrow so hopefully the wind will have abated by then.

A 10 at a par 4 could be rounded down to a 6...could be in for a cut......
