Just a quick thanks to Patricks148 for a great round at Torvean today. The weather was spot on which helped & it's certainly a different course between the front 8 holes & the remaining ten across the road(s).

And hopefully your hip won't be bothering you too much tomorrow!

Patrick is a decent spud, I played with him at Spey Valley earlier this year with the wooly mamoths and polar bears roaming the fairways.

Every time I see Torvean GC name up in lights I get so homesick!

My first course and as they say 'You never forgot your first'!!

I started my golfing experience when the nine hole course opened and we went round so often that we were dizzy by darkness. Even then we went to the first green and putted towards the road aided by the big street light.

My Dad carried on playing there when I went off on my travels and I remember later a photo in the local press of his fourball, they played 3 times a week, with a total age in excess of 320 years!!

I feel sure my memories are shared by many who can all thank Torvean for giving them the BUG!

Struggling to walk today really stiffened up overnight. Took a load of anti inflammatory drugs last night. I’m playing a 36 hole comp a Tain on Saturday so hope its better by then.
Enjoyed yesterday, shame they had hollow tined half the greens and I Sh*nked most of my iron shots!!!
