Evening all...

Does anybody have an tips for selling Golf equipment online.

I used to do the local paper "free-ads" but it seems a bit hit and miss. As it's free, they'll put it in any day they choose; so if it goes in Monday, forget it, if it goes in Friday, the phone goes all weekend.

I'm thinking about the infamous auction site known to many of us, but also considering Gumtree (?). Are there others?

Ideally, I'd prefer to pitch to a local area crowd and do collect and pay, save me the hassle of doing all the p&p for a £20 item.

Any thoughts? or should I just crack on with the "one and only"?

My missus has given me an ultimatum, so better get on with it. Anything decent, I'll put on here as well :)

I'd say the "famous one" is your best bet. TBH you are pitching your gear at a massive buying public, someone almost always wants what you are selling. It's the best way to get near the price you want too.

Yes, I just had a look at one particular item and there were two used on "buy it now". One for £29.99 and the other £80. (some people don't half have strange ideas. £80 - I paid £70 brand new??)

I'd happily undercut the best price, so could chuck it on there b.i.n. for £28.99.

Now, where's the camera. :)

I've done it! Testing the water.

£1 less then all the b-i-n items. Cost me 22 pence. Don't know how much commission is, but I'll find out. :)

Picture came out terrible. :(

As stated eBay will charge you £2.89 plus your listing fee snd Paypal will charge 3.4% + 20p which will work out at around £1.20 so all in all on your £28.99 item you will be charged about a fiver.
