And no-ones mentioned the album that gave music a kick where it was needed - The Clash's "The Clash" (For some strange reason every seems to think it was Never Mind the Bollocks that gave the kick but...)

Yes, Skinny Lizzy as my dad used to call them and XTC, my brother had everything they had released including imports and bootlegs. The list could go on and on, Alice Cooper, T-Rex, Bowie, King Crimson, The Who, The Jam to Yazoo, Spandau Ballet, Japan, all have done something worth having in a collection, you can go on forever.

Has anybody mentioned WHITESNAKE ?????????
oh oh
Here we go again !!!!!!!!!!

Saw them live in Glasgow last week. Coverdale may be 56 but he still got a few sets of underwear thrown at him (by girls, I should add). Overall, not bad. Def leppard on the bill too but they've never been my thang. Support act Black Stone Cherry were great, especially the manic drummer.

Stone Roses 1st album anyone?

Definately in mine, Atticus. Along with:-

New Fast Automatic Daffodils - Pigeonhole
Black - Wonderful Life
New Order - Brotherhood
Martha Tilston - Of Milkmaids and Architects

But this list changes about a hundred times a day!

I thought I was the only person who had heard of the New Fast Automatic Daffodils. Good choices there.

glad I'm not the only one, Greg. One of my all time favourite bands. Remember seeing they were on the bill at The Big Day Out at Bescott Stadium os I bought their album. Best random buy of my life.

I agree, mate. Dookie is my fav Green Day album by far.

If Dookie is better than American Idiot, then I shall buy it forthwith. Cheers

Black-Wonderful life!!!!

good call, i'd forgot about that one.
may be a trip to HMV for that.

I think it's deleted, but you'll find it on eBay. I got a new copy there for a couple of quid.

Not a fan of Ebay, too many lairs and con artists on there for my liking.
my momma said Ebay's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!!!

i may try play.com or something similar.
