anyone got the 2 disc DVD's?
his website makes it look like a very professional and interesting instruction video, I would expect nothing less from Mr Watson so I'll be buying it today regardless, just wondered if anyone has already seen it?

I have it and like it. Perhaps not for the total beginner but lots of good stuff and very enjoyable as well as informative. He has a nice style and you know he's been there and done it. Great to watch him actually demonstrating all the things he's telling you and you know he knows what he's talking about.

I particularly liked the 2nd DVD covering the short game. Lots of good advice on the shots around the green and particularly the tricky ones.

Its a good DVD, but not a great one. Production is fine, and Watson is a good, polished presenter to the audience. But it naturally falls into "this is how I do it" with one huge gap, he never explains the aspect of lifting his left heel, which is a pretty important aspect of the swing and his swing. It also gets a bit samey after a while. Its enjoyable and always a pleasure to watch the master in action, but if you want instruction, Mickelson's short game DVD is better, much better.

I looked up phils £40 DVD and heres an interesting comment by a reviewer

The DVD was filmed some time ago and it is clear from recent Sky transmissions of PGA Tour events that Phil is no longer practicing everything that he preaches. However, there is a great deal that the average golfer can learn and, although the sessions can get a bit technical, this DVD does provide some excellent advice and drills.
That said, as with all golf tuition, be it book or DVD, you won't get better just be purchasing the product - you have to get out and practice.

I've got his book "The Timeless Swing" and in there he says lifting the left heel helps with making a full turn on the backswing, perhaps not something taught these days but as age catches up it helps.

Incidentally the book is a very good read and even has a chapter specifically for the more mature player (or Ping user).

Thanks, just bought it, havent bought one for years as most are pretty boring and geared to much to the beginner (no offense) but I'd pay £20 easily just to hear TW (he should have grabbed that trademark before Tiger) talk about his swing thoughts and tips etc
