Hi all,

sorry to be a pain again

following my dilemma yesterday I've seen the above clubs on offer. Has anyone got personal experience with either of these.

My mates just changed from the cobra to r11s....a don't see 1 difference in his driving at all since the move...have u tried both out?if so what 1 feels best and gives u more confidence

I was debating last year between the RBZ and the Cobra Amp driver. However the main thing I did not like about the RBZ was the white top. After seeing the trade in Models they looked so shabby even after a few months.

I have a Direct Golf near me where I went and hit both drivers on the simulator, then tried the Nike,Ping and Callaway drivers. I kept coming back to the RBZ and Cobra. I then went to my local American Golf that has a range and hit the balls and seen the flights compared to the simulator results ( i don't trust them).

I then went back to DG golf and tried and then bought the AMP driver. I love it. Its a great driver, with amazing sound, The colors are a bit wild with the orange and grey but its a great club for me (handicap 26). I got invited by Cobra UK to demo the new AMP cell a few weeks ago at the American Golf, and I must say this is an amazing club. I am tempted to upgrade but my AMP is only just 1 year old.

As said above forget the names and pick one you can consistently hit well and Ideally improve your game.

Apologies gents... It's the irons I'm looking at!

Ah I see. If its any help to you I demo'ed the AMP irons from last year. They are nice. I was about to buy them when I noticed American Golf were offering £50 trade in against a set of Cobra S3 Max (5-SW) total cost to me with price match was £140 :) They are very good Irons.

I actually tried both when I was in the market for new bats last year. I went on the trackman at AG and was far more consistant with the Cobra's so went for them (with online price matching from Snainton golf) and haven't looked back.

I find them easy to hit (as a higher handicapper) and pretty forgiving and certainly wouldn't have a problem in recommending them to others. You might want to go and have a hit with both though and see what suits you best.

Cobra amp 2012 range was very good, stronger loft then std, but good feel and flight. The r11 with the kbs shaft is good for someone who hits a low strong flight. Feel from the r11 is good.

I would say try them. Only down side is you may not find both sets in the same shop to try.

Me, amp all day long. The 11 spins to much for me. But it's each to their own.

So....the bullet was bitten.....The amps were purchased!= and by god....I only hit a few balls but i seemed to hit a lot further than the John Letters.....

Thank you all for your advise....Now its time to play!
