anyone know the difference between the TM burner superfast and the superfast TP? I'm talking about the 2010 black headed one not the white version 2.0

Wasnt a fan of the head but hit 2 superfast recently and they both went very well except too high, one was an HT so 13* and the other had no loft indication but reg shaft so no idea of loft.

went onto golfbidder and theres a TP vesion but looks the same.........cant find ANY info on the TM website particularly about the shafts

As a Rule the TP version of Superfast Burner, and the White Superfast Burner 2.0, are slightly smaller head profile ( to look at ) and slight Fade Bias, as compared to the 'shut' face of the standard models

thanks, they didnt look closed when I tried them, havent tried the TP version but if its the same except slightly smaller and maybe 1* open that could be a winner for me if I can find one

I recently bought an ex demo Superfast TP although it was the latest version which is the Burner 2.0. I tried it on the range taped up and it was superb.

On the course it was a nightmare as every ball went right. I know it's a poor workman who blames his tools and I will admit that recently a slight fade has crept into my swing but this was ridiculously right.

A quick bit of research identified that not only is th TP 1 degree open, it is also fade weighted with a weight in the toe.

Following this I had a fitting at the pro shop where I bought the ball, (they agreed to take the club back for the price I bought it for if I bought a new one at the full price), and it emerged that when setting up I was turning my right shoulder inwards towards the ball which was causing a slight fade. Holding the R/H shoulder back on the correct allignment cured the problem, (it's simple when somebody identifies the problem).

Today I played with the Callaway Diablo Tour which is currently in the calssified and is also 1 degree open. Apart from a couple of slight fades which put me just off the fairway and one slice everything went straight.
If I had been using the Superfast TP I'm sure the slight fades would have been significantly more exagerated.

The TP lookedgood, felt superb and hit the ball miles, however I would advise that unless you draw the ball naturally or fight a hook it may not be the club for you.

Make sure you can try before you buy, preferably on the course. It is a stunning club, better than the R11 IMO but it is a serious players club designed to keep the L/H side of the fairway out of play, with more fade bias than any other club I have hit.

thanks dave you are meaning the superfast 2.0 white one here I assume? I draw the ball and also fight a bad hook with the driver so a fade bias appeals to me, I think my pro has demo clubs to be used in a round, I'll try it on the course, shyed away till now as its white and I like black, but for 250 in the middle I'll play pink if I have to:rolleyes:

I have the TP (black on) and really like it. I tend to hit drivers very high, however this one has a lovely flat medium/low ball flight. It sits slightly open at address which I like, I draw the ball generally and this means I can go after the club a bit without too much fear of hooky ones. I find it relatively easy to work both ways and the distance is very respectable too.

It did take me a few rounds to get used to it though. To start with I was hitting a lot of low and left shots, and I was initially thinking I'd made a mistake, but after a few rounds it started going well and I've not had the low left issue since.

For the money you can pick them up for now I think they are a steal
