The Ping Custom Fitting chart is actually a nonsense pile of £$%^ It is designed so amateurs can buy stuff online or go in a proshop and tell them the spec so ping reps dont have to do much work and it saves PING money!
This is exactly what i fell for in 2004 when i bought my clubs! Its not what height you are or how long your wrist to the floor is. its where your club face is at impact which determines the lie side of custom fitting. Shaft flex also affects the lie angle but only slightly. My pro has an intersting device whic is basically a 2 iron with a wedge head squared above it. He showed me that if the lie is too upright at imapct the clubface points left of the target! with the 2 iron its only slightly but with the wedge its way off to the left. It does reallly show the importance of it!
As do your divots on the golf course and thats the idea of the tape and strike board IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO GO AND GET FITTED PROPERLY!
More the fools you for only going half measures!
