I see that Titleist are now going down the ball fitting route

https://www.titleist.co.uk/golf-ball-fitting-tool

Does this mark a fundamental shift in their views?

Didn't they used to market the Pro V as the ball that pretty much everyone should use and benefit from?

Perhaps Bridgestone were right all along?

It wouldn't be the first time they have "copied" Bridgestone!!!

Titleist have been doing fittings for decades and so definitely not copying Bridgestone. Usually starts with a quick Q&A via the PC for a recommendation but they do fittings at demo days as well. I think its an area a lot of the major manufacturers will end up looking at as more and more balls enter an already crowded market. They need something to push golfers to their own products

I've never liked the feel of them, I tend to find them too hard off the face.

I used to find the old ProV1x very "clicky" off the club face, it was too firm for my liking. But they changed that a few years ago and now I can barely tell the difference between v1 and x, actually prefer the x if anything.
