I'm thinking of changing my irons and looking at a set of the AP 2's. I have hit a few shots with them at AG and I was v happy with the feel off them. I know hitting them in a range is totally different to on course but I was just wondering how many people have them on here and are they happy with them? I know there are geared more for low-medium handicappers but does that matter!

I tried them when I was off 20 last year and I love the feel! Hit the 7 iron really well, and though I was onto a winner :) but then came the longer irons and I just couldn't hit them to save my life! Just had no control and no consistency :( So they will be a great set of irons! But your gonna have to put in the hard hours at the range to start with :P

I have them and love them, but one mans meat and all that...

I think getting the right shaft is more important, provided you like the head shape.

I've got a set and they are a lovely club to hit.
I only play 4,5 and 6 iron though.

They do feel very soft.
I'm sure you wont be disappointed mate

I play them and love them. For me they are a heavy club and dont need swinging too quick which is good for controlling my biggest fault - the over the top move. Get them custom fit I am sure you will love them!

Out of interest why have you got your eye on the Titleist in particular. Is it just the look of the club? Personally I'd be trying as many as I could within my price range and going with whatever suited my game the best. Just because a set is aimed at mid-low handicappers it won't preclude you form using them but I just wonder if there are other sets a 20 (ish) handicapper might look at first

Taylormade perhaps Homer? There are other makes out there as you say ;)

I think he has tried and looked around and is now looking to settle with the titleists. You should try them :D

I too have the AP2s and love them. Have you tried the AP1s? They are probably better suited to higher handicappers. The AP2s are D2 swingweight as opposed to D1 for the AP1s and the loft of the Ap2s is greater, club for club, compared with the AP1s
