Timgolfy's first drive.....Guess the distance????

he probably papped his pants on the 1st Tee, with the weight of expectation on his 'ever so broad' shoulders, and duffed it down into the valley 20yds in front of the tee.

Is the correct answer!!!!!

:o  :D :D

Video to come later.............

Btw he also drove 371 yards on the 18th! Measured on a SkyCaddie GPS....

I was wearing a visor, so now have a sunburned face and head, and a white forehead like I have just taken the bandages off. Not a good look.

He's probably at New Malden picking up his new JPX's right about now either that or he's on his way to the mid-week medal at his home club with his new sticks.

Free Driver Lesson from TG ?? ;)

Ah well done TG - you showed up, and at least had the balls to eat some !

Now just get playin and get a real Handicap !

371yards down 18 isn't as impressive as it sounds if it is downwind as it is seriously downhill and the ground will probably be very firm. Did you all manage to contain yourselves after the opening shot? :D

Well, I was in the group in front. I wouldn't have laughed anyway, as I (the much more experienced golfer, in terms of playing years, and also forum meets) did exactly the same.

I believe it's called a Findlay.

Like most, I didn't look for it, just reloaded. As a consequence, while waiting to tee off on the PM round, thought I'd have a quick shufty, as I thought I knew where it was. Nope, but a 3 minute search unearthed a Bridgestone B330RX, a ProV1X, a Zstar and an NXT, all one hit wonders. A great place to look for balls if you have the time.

Theft from the course? Maybe, but I gave most of them back, just not in the same place.

I was astonished that I only lost three balls yesterday and two of those were ones I actually bought with me and those two I lost on the same hole, on consecutive tee shots (the 5th. Tee shot sliced right into the crap, hit a "provisional" and shanked it about 20 yards waaaaaay right into the crap)

That course is brutal if you can't hit a straight ball. I mostly seemed to land in "open" bedded down lies where the ball was a bit easier to find.

Still, it doesn't help not losing many balls if you can't get the fecker in the little hole.

I lost two, the first tee shot, and then one down 17 in the afternoon.
I also lost a provisional on the 5th?

Considering how many provisional I seemed to be hitting, only losing 3 balls was quite an achievement.

Gardening and golf do not mix. Must remember that one for next time.
Got a trench to dig out on Saturday afternoon before Sundays medal. Oops. Planning.

lost none 1st round which was a minor miracle and lost 3 in the 2nd round

My lesson next week will be on keeping my head down and hitting the fecker straight :)
