With the competition season about to start in earnest our Saturday morning social group elected to play off the white tees for the first time since October.
What a shock!!
It was a nice enough morning, but not having played the full course for 4-5 months it found us all wanting. Even though many of us would be happy to play of the whites all year round some of the others struggle too much, what with no run on the fairways and the general cold and wet. So our Group Organiser, a benign dictator if ever there was one, graciously decrees play off the yellows as a nod to those who can't face the full might of the course in Winter.
We have eight or so holes where this makes a big difference and the general consensus in the bar afterwards was "Blimey fellas, we'd better toughen up again a bit sharpish!"
