Time for me to blow my own trumpet.

New pb of a gross 91 tonight that would have deffintley broke 90 if we didn't have to rush the last 4 holes due to it getting dark.

8 pars in total and 5 pars in a row on the back 9!

My driving and irons were average but my chipping and putting were the best it's been for a long time.

Anyway I've finished blowing my own trumpet for now!

Know what you mean about the dark as well - amazing how quickly it closes in! Got to a point tonight where we were guessing where our balls went...thankfully we were playing ok

Trust me since getting my handicap about 4 months ago I think I've only played to it 3 or 4 times and I play alot of golf.


Spent the previous 2 nights on the course practicing my short game and it deffintley paid off tonight.

Good work mate, nothing better than seeing hard work get the desired results!

Also, it should never be underestimated the importance of the short game. I've posted a few times recently that the last 2 weeks have been the worst ball striking I have had ever really, but my scores a still OK due to my short game being good at the moment.
