Weather forecasts.
The Windows weather app I use told me a 7.11 that the weather would be.........

'Day
Watch out for scattered rain showers. It'll be very cold with a high of only 7. Temperatures near freezing
Night
The skies will be clear. It'll be very cold with a low of 1. Temperatures near freezing'

If someone looked out the windows they would see it's snowing

What weather forecast do you use?

Weather Channel

Used to use the Met Office but started to become really poor - BBC has also ditched them

Meteoradar is fantastic for its rain predictions and has radar pictures showing current rain through to hourly or every few hours for the next week.

I downloaded about a dozen of the free apps for iPhone and kept track of how good they were over a few weeks.

The one I ended up keeping is called WeatherPro.

Said it before and I'll say it again, most forecasters are pretty good in the short term, i.e. 24 hours. In our climate it can be difficult to predict down to golf course resolution where rain will fall anything longer than that. When people say forecasters are rubbish I can guarantee they are remembering the one or two times they get it badly wrong (as they all do in our UK climate due to our position on the globe) and forgetting the 98% of time they are spot on. The Met Office are as good as anyone for UK weather forecasts, they are a world renown forecasting organisation and they did not lose the BBC contract due to poor forecast accuracy.

I was not aware that the tender has now been awarded to The Weather Channel (got a link to that LP?), but whoever gets it will still have to pay the Met Office a lot of money to access their unrivaled number of observation data readings in the UK anyway.

The only genuinely awful one is The Daily Express.

The app or the paper in general?
