i think tm are doing well without his name, but I can't imagine any golf brand would do worse with him attatched to it.

Have to agree with this. Nike have based their success on sponsoring the number one person in any sport and building brand recognition on them. When Rory suffered with form and injury problems they lacked the presence at the top of the game that they needed. None of their other players were exactly saleable to the non golfing public.

In any event, I am guessing it is not just Tiger Woods looking to buy TM, it is more likely that he will be fronting a consortium looking to make the purchase.

During the video I've seen, the top guy at taylormade was talking about a players iron, so I'm guessing they have one now.

Thought the the main poster was quite amusing. A Nike big Nike tick on an add that's still currently for a part of adidas.
 
Feels really strange seeing THE Nike Golf athlete on the posters of and promoting TaylorMade equipment. Quite cool, but just surreal to see. Arguably TaylorMade's 2 biggest players in terms of promotion now wear Nike clothing - Day and Woods.

Thanks for that, was a good read. Looking forward to seeing the new irons when they're ready. Got a really good feeling about this comeback for Tiger. Would love to see him pick up a couple of big wins this season!
 
As I've converted almost all to TM'S in the last few months is there much chance of me becoming a staffer?
 
surprised woods and mcillroy went different ways.

Thought there was a good chance they would both choose the same clubs as they were open to playing the best equipment out there
 
i think the rumours are true that tiger and his friends have Baught a shed load of tm shares. tiger then signs for tm and up up up goes their sales and share price. tiger and his friends sell shares and make a killing
