Just been on the official website about purchasing tickets on the door for the singles on monday.Only holders of a sunday pass will be allowed entry, imo this is stupid,a lot of people will not be able to attend and the atmosphere could be effected. This years tournament has been a total shambles from start to finish.

I think there is a good case for never holding the event in the Uk to be honest, this years weather just shows how it can be ruined, and with such kudos & money around the event, it is such a waste.
The Fans are the biggest losers, and those who have shelled out £100+ for a day ticket must be well brassed off.

I know the event 'may not' attract the crowd numbers if held abroad, but to be honest, as far as I'm concerned, that would be a plus, I bloody hate all the singing and patriotic cheering, and despise the sniggers and cheers when the yanks play a bad shot, its just not what Golf should be about.

Its a gentleman's game, full of honour, honesty, and good manners, and the Ryder Cup seems to just erode at that, and bring out the very worst in the crowds that watch it.

Yes, I still watch it, because I want to see the worlds top players play great Matchplay Golf, but the rest of it I absolutely hate.

Even the outfits they are forced to wear leave a lot to be desired.

*shakes head*

I agree, there must be loads of Sunday ticket holders who won't make it. A bit gutted as we are only 40 mins away and don't have Sky. might well have taken a chance on it!
Seems in incredibly mean - and encourages a black market in Sunday tickets.

Nice to see that those who braved friday are going to get bugger all. We saw 4 hours golf.£25 per hour plus expenses.....

Bad luck, Imurg. I know others in the same boat (ouch - bad choice of word!)and agree you should have been given Monday ticket - (of course they are going to give you some concessions 'after closure of the Ryder Cup' - what the ***** use is that!)
Also agree with all those who have observed the course is low-lying and flood-prone - saw it in a terrible mess in June a couple of years ago.
How did CM get away with it?
Even if tomorrow comes good weather-wise, it's a fiasco.

Did they look at my photo? Nope.

Did they look at my mate's photo who wasn't the person in the photo? Nope.

Twice. Saturday and Sunday.

They just scanned the barcode and through you went.

If you can get a ticket and can go, go for it! :)

The ticketing arrangements for tomorrow are farcical. A cracking finale will be played out in front of tiny crowds. Not how the Ryder Cup should finish.

The very least, they could have done is make the tickets transferable to, at least, fill the course up a bit more.

But, as I said, you needn't worry about the photos on the ticket.

@Macster
Mardy old fart. ;)

Its a gentleman's game, full of honour, honesty, and good manners

lol

I'm a mardy old fart as well.

Clap when the opposition play a good shot and cheer when our boys do, but clapping and cheering when they screw up is the sort of thing that we'd all be on here moaning about if it were in America and it was happening to us.
