thread to report issues/requests related to new forum format

logging in is the main issue.

Another one that was there before the change; when you multi-quote, it doesn't clear after you've posted the reply, you have to go back & manually clear them. I wonder if that is why some of our more frequent posters, including one who regularly gets pilloried for it, don't multi-quote?

This has always been the case, I accidental left the "tics" in place on one occasion and then because they appeared in another reply later, I was called a liar in reference to the subject matter!

I use 2 other boards on other sports which were the same company/format as the old one where you can multi-quote and as soon as you post those "tics" are automatically removed, I can't see why the same can't happen on here?

Just to repeat the above. Had to keep on entering my log in details on the new and old web page and then finally got in. Not user friendly and not good if users have less patience than me..........which won't be many!

I don't seem to be able to log in on my I-phone. It takes me to a page on the old format saying this page does not exist. Is the forum on tapatalk?

As others have posted, the mobile version is welcome, but lacks the functionality to make is of any use. No edit, quote etc..........

Hi all
the developers have been doing some tweaking - can I all those who were having issues logging in and staying logged in to try again and report back
thanks
Mike

Biggest issue I'm seeing , and really starting to hack me off is to do with the ads. Before you say it Mike, it's not a problem with the ads being there per se..... Using my iPad mini with ios7 (haven't upgraded yet), every page I load on the forum starts jumping around up and down while the ads load. It's not always an instant load, so you can be just about to click a thread link, or new page , or just be scrolling down, but the page starts jumping up and down until the ads sort themselves out, damn annoying.

I have just looked at the forum on my ipad mini (I am using 0S 8.1.1) and cant replicate the issue you describe

Same thing happens on my iPad. I keep hitting the wrong link because the page jumps at the wrong instant. iOS7 as well.... I'm upgrading now so will report back.

I had this issue (ios8) until I selected the mobile style ( dropdown at bottom left ) - I think the iPad is struggling to format the non-mobile page layout.

togling to mobile will indeed solve the issue although as I say it's fine on my ipad running 8.1.1

Seems better on 8.1.1. Still an initial jump down when the ad loads but that's what you'd expect and it's fairly instant and doesn't then jump back up and down again.

I dont as I dont need to running 8.1.1 (and becuase I simply cant get enough of flashing golf adverts) but I could if I wished!

The adverts are no issue for me really - they are needed I guess to ensure this is a free forum as opposed to subscription

Is there any plans to enhance the mobile version ? Mark forums read function for example ?
