This is turning out to be quite some season!!

Well, I began the year off 10.4 and I'm now almost off 8 (8.7).

I've won a monthly medal and a monthly stableford.

I'm riding high in the Sunday Swindle Order of Merit.

And then today!!

It was our Foursomes Shield. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of pairs golf but today we rinsed it!!

We were off 8 and 9.

We only bogeyed 5 holes and we had a birdie and an eagle to shoot a 74 (par 72) nett 65.

We won by 6 shots!!

It's my first ever honours board comp and I'm proper chuffed.

Apologies for the self congratulatory post but I'm walking on air!!

Yeah, proper alternate - I drove off the evens, my partner off the odds.

I always call it 'sorry' golf as that's normally the first word you utter after your shot but yesterday we seemed to be saying sorry for missing birdie putts rather than par putts!

It's been 24 hours and I'm still grinning like a Cheshire Cat!!!

My Wife has very kindly said that my Dad can accompany me to Presentation night as he'll be very proud to see my name on the honours board and to collect the shield. Another reason for me to smile.
