Guys and gals, just posting this to let you all know how much this forum has impressed me and become a part of my life these days. The friendship and banter on here is second to no forum I have ever joined or posted on. Yes people have disagreements however it doesnt degenerate into slagging matches, childish name calling or threats of violence from keyboard warriors.

I have recently bought a golf bag from Mansell on this forum. I do not know Mansell nor have I ever met him. He could be black or white, tall or short, fat or skinny, I do not know! I have only ever communicated to him through this forum by PM's. Despite this Mansell did the most trusting thing and I am extremely grateful for his honest and trusting actions.

Mansell asked to be paid by cheque and I agreed to send him the cheque. Mansell then PM'd back saying he would post the bag to me the next day. Mansell hadnt even received the payment yet but in Mansells words he said "you sound like a gentleman". I am very humbled by his actions as he also doesnt know me from Adam.

To cut a long story boring I am proud to be a member on this forum and proud to say that people like Mansell make you realise that there are many many great people throughout this country bound by their love of hitting a wee white ball about.

Thanks to all on here and a special thanks to Mansell for being such a fine member and for selling me a beautiful new Ping cart bag. Its the mutz nutz!

Good stuff, glad your enjoying it mate. Have also done a few dealings in our for sale section with great success.

Well said!!
I know I stir it up a bit somtimes but its only banter, I find this forum a good source of info on many fronts and try my best to add to it from my perspective.

Having my 1st game with fellow forummers a week on sunday, need to find my form again,i was shocking yesterday!!!

I am a 'back round reader' rather than a 'up front poster', however, I visit this forum everyday and I love to follow the banter. I love the craic on here along with the various views even if most posts end up with a 'go get lessons' etc.

If I can get a job I hope to get an Irish meet sorted and get to meet a few others on here.

I am toatally with thecraw.

I only joined 12 days ago but have been on everyday since, already been asked for a few rounds of golf and gained some good advise.

Glad to have joined and I thankyou all for the welcome

I must admit it is great and a regular stop when on my computer / laptop , it just takes away the boredom of work I perhaps should be doing, and reading the various posts gives me a good break whilst partially itching my golfing scratch :D I think it is brilliant how everyone gets involved and adds something to the forum community. I have also had the pleasure of playing with a forum member, and being involved with a forum based sale: both which I would not hesitate to do again.

Hey....good post....

There's a lot of stuff going on we don't get wind of. Kit being exchanged (sometimes given away), PM advice offered in true spirit and honesty. Games around the place. I'm impressed, always.

same for me really.
I tend not to post unless i have what i consider to be a valid contribution and as I am relatively new to golf that option doesn't come along too often.
however i'm on here everyday and I'd consider 99% of the posters on here people i'd like to spend an afternoon or evening with (at least).

I think thecraw has eloquently summed up what it means to be a forum member and what, despite the various ups and downs in our little virtual community, it means to be a forum member. At the end of the day we are all golf addicts who want to share experiences and the odd round.

I fully agree with the craw.

Everyone That I have dealt with and has offered advice has ben spot on , I check and read topics everyday as part of my daily ritual.

Cheers

Midnight...

Spot on Craw, well said.

I have had quite a few dealings with different people on this forum, and I can honestly say I am darn happy with all of the outcomes. I have received kit aswell as sent kit. Payment and communications have always been spot on!

I have met many members, and all of them bar none would make a great great ambassador for the forum to any other community.

Tommorow and Sat is going to be awsome and that is going to be down to the members. I am really looking forward to meeting more of you all. There are some people on here I can honestly say (and hope) I have a friend in for life!

THANKS GM!!!

Imurg.

Are you using an Adam and the Ants line in your sig, well almost anyway!

No. Its from Blazing Saddles. When Hedley Lamarr sends his henchmen off to Rockridge.

It'd better not be from Adam and the Ants - what little street cred I have left will be in the gutter and about to flow down the drain!
