things to do with kids in Cambridgeshire

Wife is away on Saturday so I'm looking for (sensible) suggestions for activities with my kids (4 year old girl, 1 year old boy).

Just in case anyone knows anywhere near Ely that's worth looking into.

There's not much to do in Ely apart from walk along the river...

1 and a 4yr old is a tricky mix too, Zoo?

This place is ok if the weathers reasonable, bit closer then the zoo also.

Thetford Forest you can go and have a walk and play.

Wimpole Hall has a farm and is a fun day out.

Duxford might not appeal to children as young as yours.

Cambridge for a trip on a punt?

Nene Valley Railway? Perhaps a bit far.

Shepreth Wildlife Park?

I live in Cambridge, not much to do apart from the river, some parks and some soft play at that age. Some Zoos around which are good.

Walk around the city, walk along the river to Jesus Green. All very nice.

I'd thought about the Maize Maze. Took them there last year and my daughter loved it.
Wife mentioned some Crocodile Farm near Pidley too. It's free, which is a benefit.
