Things That Gladden The Heart

Our gorgeous preemie granddaughter is one today. She's now only on oxygen overnight. She will need some surgery on her eyes at some point as she has a turn in them which is common for preemies.

Stunning photo.

Youngest daughter had an obvious ‘turn.’ Very pronounced when tired. The doc decided to try glasses first but also said he wasn’t hopeful as the ‘turn’ was quite severe. It was a quick op - we paced up and down outside theatre recovery. Very successful.

Putting people on ignore - the first one worked out well, so I'm pretty sure I won't regret the second. I'm pretty sure number three will be on there within the next day or so. :D

Tyres on the drive , fantastic service. 4 hour window only £2.50 I'm at work 7-7 anyways so no bother. 30 mins 2 tyres replaced.

The 1st Sunday of Advent and the first candle is lit. With all the trouble in the world and difficulties here at home and in the UK the candle provides a light of hope - looking forward to Christmas and in these dark times a light for better times for us all, here and everywhere.

I can sometimes despair that there seems, and is, so little that I can do for the bigger picture, but there are always small or significant things I can do each and every day that will help another, that will raise their spirits a little.

Saying goodbye to our eldest g’daughter this morning before she heads off to school and us on our next leg of visits around the U.K., I got a hug and an “I love you grandpa.” From a child suffering from autism, and a teenager too, it was just awesome. I might have had something in my eye.
was someone cutting oinions?

Some of the members on here. I had a problem with little blighters in my kitchen which I could hardly see. knew he was knowledgeable and technical with wood.

Sent him a couple of pics and he was so helpful. I promised to buy him a pint when next North of The Border

never had a conversation with him before. GM Forum at its very best.

Thank you my friend
