They are taking over the world

As I said, I dont mind what the Americans do, eat or say, I just find it sad that in one or two generations, we will end up eating, looking, dressing and sounding just like them.

Of course you never danced to a Buddy Holly record did you Bob?

(Whilst chaperoning your grand kids to a tea dance obviously!)

I never thought this would appear this side of the pond but sadly it has
Do the math :sbox:

Adding up and taking away was called arithmetic when I was at school.

Only ever had the one McD... Only thing that I think of worse thats passed through my lips is American beer... It sucks ;)...

If God himself was to cook a meal, for the main meal, he'd make a Big Mac!

NO OTHER BURGER COMPARES!

Oh, and for pudding, it'd be a Wispa McFlurry.

Here endeth the first lesson.

I guess its probably NOT an American thing, maybe its a southern UK thing but being from Lincolnshire I had never heard it until I moved to Hampshire, it really irritates me and EVERYBODY seems to do it!

It's saying "no probs" or "no problem" after EVERYTHING

It grates on me and I hear it every day. Who ever started that should be the one trying to convince me there is no problem!

Sometimes comes out as "no worries" instead of "no problem"

I hate both just as much, I do have worries thank you but they are none of your business!

Glad I don't have religion so I won't feel obliged to eat it... Much prefer my meat to be 'joined up' rather than re-constituted...

Might of liked the Wispa Mcflurry a while ago but sadly no longer have a sweet tooth...

and we're letting them.

We buy their crap TV
Our kids dress like them
We eat their food
We're getting as fat as them
We're copying their legal system
We even write and speak like them

Don't get me wrong....they have some great qualities
but I don't want to be one.

I can't be the only one..... or am I ?
i have never eaten haggis or watched an episode of take the high rd or wore anything with a bit of tartan trim so you cant be blaming me!!!!
