Thetford meet help required

Evening all. Need some help finishing off the October edition of the forum pages for the magazine. Writing a piuece on Thetford and need a few answers.

At the momenth I've got JD down as the winner with 34pts but who came 2nd and 3rd and how many points did they have. Also who won the longest drive and the nearest pins (I've got bobmac down for one of them.

Finally why was davey boy wandering around with a set of kids clubs????

I think first Jammy Dodger hit a 3 wood out there a few groups earlier. Wrote his name, the club and put a little :) next to it.

I was about 20 yards past it. Wrote my name, put down "driver" as my club and the yardage of about 260.

A group or two later they pretty much all had out driven me, one out at 290.

Then CK, the little blighter, called out my name when annoucing the winners, as I sat down he told me to give the balls to someone else!

Cheeky chappie that he is! I drove 200 miles to play and thats how I get treated!

Davey won the kids set for the lowest s/ford points I believe MKDave I think was 2nd or 3rd and I cant remember the name of the longest drive but if you look at the pictures I think he is no 17 teeing off with a blue shirt (was it Richard)

The longest drive was Richard, not sure if he is a member on here but is lolfred's friend. As Bob has so kingly reminded us all, I have the kids clubs for coming last.

I honestly cannot remember 2nd or 3rd, so I haven't been of much help really as just backed up what Bob said!!

Don't worry gents and thanks for the help. I too did text CK but have heard nowt back (assume he is in some far off distant place selling aviation fuel). I've done the best I can with the info I had and hopefully Jezz will be happy with it.
 
Just caught this thread , sorry. I believe it might have been Anders who came 2nd. I think I also got the nearest the pin in 2 on one of the early par 4's. Daveyc2kr2d2 won something as well I think
 
Sorry all, work has been manic!!

Played 7/8 handicap, stableford.
1st JammyDodger - 34pts
2nd Rich - 33 pts
3rd MKDave - Didn't have his card as he took it, 33 pts too I think on countback.
DaveyR2D2 got the boobie prize with 16 glorious points!

Anders lost the most balls (11 I think) so he got a Tescos bag of pick up balls, some quality Dunlops in there!

Cracking day, I think most enjoyed it. And we presented the golf club with a 100th Birthday Card.

Full report is on this bloody laptop somewhere...I will find it!!!

Hope this work slows down a bit so I can play more golf and get on here more :)
