I'm going to take in a wee bit of The Women's open today (rude not to I suppose)
I'll be honest here and admit to not really knowing all that much about the Women's game, so I'll be mostly looking out for the big names, Wie, Creamer, Gulbis etc.
Without the post descended into a sexist leerfest, is there any other player that I should be looking out for that are a wee bit under the radar?

Not sure of the names but the Asian girls are dominating the scene just now, watch how far they hit it with a slow easy swing, it's all in the timing and we could all learn a lesson from the fairer sex. Take some pics or video at the range if you get a chance for posting here.

I've been the last two years but it's a bit far away for me this time around. To be honest you should have a look at as many players as you can. The Ladies game is much closer to that of us amateurs in terms of swing dynamics.

These girls are not trying to smash the ball 300+ yards (we might try but few succeed). So, just watching them you'll learn a lot.

Christie Kerr is a good steady player and Christine Kim is very entertaining personality wise.

Watched a bit of the Evian Masters which is going to be a major in a couple of years, last week which I thought was really good, some fantastic putting.

Reigning champion is Tseng who I think is the worlds number one. There are two women from Japan (I think) Ai and Mika Miyazato (no relation apparently) who are very good.
A new european player this year who has caused a bit of a sensation is a Caroline Hedwell, who won her first ever competition earlier in the year and has now won 3 or 4. Melissa Reid has a lot of fans, and of course the Americans are strong with Kerr and Wie.

I can remember one from last year who people were saying to look out for and that way Florentina Parker, although if i remember she was playing her home course, was it Lytham?

I came off nightshift this morning, so didn't get to the course until about noon. I only stayed about 3 hours as it was incessant rain.
Didn't really see as much golf as I would've liked, but I did manage to get a glimpse of Gulbis, Creamer and Sandra Gal. I may go back tomorrow morning as it's free for me anyway.

It only bloody started to clear up after I went home to watch on telly didn't it!
