i care not that the Solheim Cup is different, i care not that ladies golf is different, i care not that its in America.

IN MY OPINION - the behaviour of the USofA team especially C. Kim is against the spirit of golf!
One does not hoop and a-holler when we play a good shot, nor high five if ones opponent misses.

Its been that way for the last few events and Kim has been right in the mix every time. I think its sad that she feels such a need to whip the crowd up and not let her teams golf do the talking. There seems to be a strong partisan feeling amongst the US and their war paint which has grown in the last three or four matches and is something that in my opinion detracts from what the event is about, namely a golf match.

I can't see how or when it will stop and just hope it doesn't deteriorate into a Ryder Cup farce with players running onto greens etc

As i say it seems to be developing its own atmosphere but i dont recall it ever being this bad before? I guess its the location this time.
The European old guard (Mickey Walker, et al) seem to be agreeing that its progressive and acceptable, but somehow i cant believe that they really think so.....

Can't stand the 'detailed' shorts. Look like cut off jeans. You would get pinged for that round my track.

I agree, why was Creamer, Wie, Castrale, Pressel, Lincicome, Gulbis, MacPherson, Peterssen, Gustafson etc not all told to play in bikinis. Far more appropriate.

Instead of berating USA why the hell dont we show a bit of national pride and bloody play them at their own game. Why can't our ladies have their own flags on their faces, legs etc and wear some fashionable kit instead of frumping around the course dressed as men? Why do we always have to show the stiff upper lip, and keep up "standards" c'mon girls show some team spirit. :D

I agree entirely.
To the point that I now can only watch it for about 5 mins.
As you say Kim is probably the worst but Wie not far behind.
Even though this is her first S.C. the high 5's and shouting at her ball really annoy me.
Doesn't it occur to her there are other people playing on the course.
Its turned into a fashion parade and silly hat contest and I for one wont be following the coverage.
I only hope the Europeans maintain their dignity and dont follow the American way. What hope? :D

They should all look at Catriona Matthew and see how a proper golfer behaves...and swings. Been watching her last few performances and am thoroughly impressed with everything she does. Pure class in a glass.

Meanwhile we stand in the background watching the U.S ladies raise the cup and go off for their interviews and magazine photos as the victorious team eh. Never mind we can always say next time, again.Sorry but I dont understand the attitude that we love to wallow in. We didn't win but at least we lost in the correct manner.

Drawboy, thats where we differ I guess.

Would you rather lose with dignity or win at all costs?
In my humble opinion, winning isn't everything, although these days, it's a biblical disaster if someone loses

I'm not saying win at all costs or indeed ask the officials for dodgy drop rulings, I'm simply trying to make the point that we seem to lack the team spirit the USA team show,i'ts indicative of our Victorian values "it's not the winning it's the taking part that counts"

Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.
I think it was Jack Nicklaus that said that, but I've been wrong before
;)

Could it be that the Americans are better players than the Europeans ? Coupled with the fact we seem to play it (in Europe) on American style courses ? What advantage does that give us ?

The current conditions at the event are playing right into the hands of Team USA. Wet last week course sofe, fly it high and at the target and you're halfway there.

Anyway I now see the advantage of a wide screen tv, you get all of miss Kim into the picture now ;)

The Americans won and rightly so, they played better GOLF!! The courses give them an advantage...what BS!!

So the ladies had enough national pride to paint their faces..good on em, but they also had enough golfing ability to win!!

Americans wear funny clothes, sometimes... but so does a famous English pro...who cares lets get on with the bloody golf !!
