Well, it's a sad realisation but I'm just about to hand back my only remaining trophy. It seems to have become a habit this year. All giving and no receiving. They say that's a good thing... but not when you're trying to win some silverware, eh?

I had 5 on the mantelpiece at one point not so long ago but the golf has up and deserted me over the last 12 months and the last one remains. Just time to have it engraved and hand it back in time for an attempt at a defence in July. So I thought I would take a photo for posterity in case that doesn't work out, which it probably won't given that I've only had one game since April.

42 points round Gullane 2 last year (with a blob). Probably my best round in '09 actually. Can it work out at Pumpherston in a couple of weeks time I wonder? Be looking for some tips from my pal, StuartD, methinks. Never played it and he's a member.

Sob!

:(

I feel your pain. However being a Fulham fan I'm use to the trophy cabinet being bear but apart from the small medals presented to the divisional monthly winners I've not had anything to (read HID) polish trophy wise since back in 2000. Still at least Pedro won the Jubilee Cup for us and he might lend it to me for a bit!

I think my 2 will be leaving in september to. Won the stroke and stableford trophies in our little family competition in may, but sadly I think my little bro wants them back.

Time to get playing!!!!

John, how you doing?
Hope you filled that trophy with rusty nail (hic).

I've only ever won 2 trophies and they wouldn't let me take either home.

i suppose it saves on the polishing.
