So the question out of the report is - why did the government not investigate the alleged Russian interference in the Brexit Referendum...?

And what of the governments reasons for not publishing the report before the GE? Most of their reasoning as presented to us by Johnson and his colleagues was simply not true.

My expectations for what will happen as a fallout from this are minimal .

Ultimately governments serve until they are unpopular and while news events like this in past years might have seriously damaged a government politically, 4 years out from an election and still well ahead in the opinion polls, the only thing that would provide the government with a serious problem is a mass walkout of Conservative MPs. Even if they were not ahead in the polls, that is still unlikely.

Doesn't really matter that the government told us and the HoC a bundle of little untruths around why the report was not being released before the GE. There was me thinking that it was a bit naughty to mislead the House - never mind misleading the electorate. Strange days indeed when that will be rationalised by some as being perfectly acceptable or of no importance.

Great another political thread so the usual suspects can moan about Boris and the government.

Are you not concerned by the news? The fact that Russia have deliberately attempted to influence the democratic process in our country? Or that the findings were suppressed by the government?

To a degree but what's going to happen? There will be some political huffing and puffing and some diplomatic tut tutting but what effect is it going to have on daily life for all of us? Of course if Russia keep going, say into Corona vaccine data etc then yes I would be concerned but to be perfectly honest I am just getting so tired, not just on here of all the political point scoring and hot air but also from what is coming out of the TV on the news and out of my feeds on social media. Politics seems no longer to be about making changes for the greater good but about self promoting, point scoring and enhancing/losing reputations

I’m not sure that answers my questions? Just a load of irrelevant waffle.
