I had the dream of the perfect day while staying at Portavadie.
My dream , a nice Bucksfizz breakfast with HID , then put her in spa and set timer for about 7 hours.
Then I take the ferry to Tarbert drive to Machrihanish, play in and WIN the seniors open in the sunshine with no wind .
Return to find HID smiling and full of the joys of life and go out for a nice dinner .
Then watch Scotland hump England 3-0, a late supper and some romance , a nice brandy a large cigar on the balcony.

You can only dream. , the breakfast, dinner and the 3-0 is still on.

Mines drinking sangria in the park.

And I love the way this forum is scared of saying anything vaguely rude that the words 'some romance' are used. I feel like I am in a Enid Blyton book.

It was all going so well, until Scotland beat England. Still, you did say you were dreaming, didn't you?:D

Just got back , we stayed and dined at the marina which is very nice, expensive but worth it for a treat , we stopped in at the bistro and the Kames hotel you recommended and both were nice and very friendly.
We drove there the long way round as Doon suggested and it is a nice drive and back via Dunoon
We took the ferry over to Tarbert and intended to drive to Machihanish , but the rain was getting worse so we about turned and headed home.
The journey back even though less miles took about 20 mins longer .Those single track roads are a good laugh though.
I didn't get all of my perfect day but near enough :smirk: and the football looked good to start .

Thanks for your advice Dodger . and all the best with your wedding .
