After 5 months out of work, I start a new job tomorrow. I'd like to think I've put the time to good use though - I've had lessons on irons and putting, played 7 new courses, met two forummers, started playing much more consistent golf. I've managed 20 rounds since the start of the year, which ain't bad considering the weather! Disappointed to have only managed 36 points in yesterday's Stableford, thought I had a chance to get cut.

But please could you all start posting less, as I don't know where I'll find the time to read everything on here if I have to actually do some work!!!

Best of luck with the new job Canford. 5 months of golf on a relatively full time basis, you lucky man! 5 months during the summer months would have been much better but you can't grumble.

Now get some bloody work done!

All the best with the new job.

5 months of golf must have been great. I only had 3 months of 'involuntary unpaid holiday' but at least it was in the summer.

Good luck with the new job tomorrow.

It was good to get a round in the other week and we will have to do it again in the summer.

Also hope the drive is kind to you in the morning.
