In serious manner I explained to her that while playing golf near the end of the round I stumbled and got a small niggling strain in my ankle. (looking for sympathy and maybe a foot massage )

Best one is Blott on the Landscape, and the BBC series they made of it was pretty good as well.
The Throwback is a pretty close second.
