Okay. So the ground is sodden, plugged balls, flooded bunkers, trolley ban, temp tees, possibly raining, blowing a gale .………

………but at least you're out.

Yet again I'm not out this weekend for more family reasons. By the time Christmas comes I'll be lucky to get three games in two months.

So despite my first paragraph, I'd still rather be out golfing. So no moaning from those that are out playing please. I think you're very lucky.

Couldnt agree more. Playing today for first time in a bit and weather oop north is looking good, cant wait. Even with the sodden course etc

No caomplaints here, Just played 9 holes this morning to keep the swing going. A lovely morning for a game, hopefully 18 holes tomorrow.
Beats sitting in the house watching Helen whats her name taking about football.

Too right, had a shocker this morning but i enjoyed it non the less.A freind of mine has just had a shoulder op and is sidelined with no golf for 18mths.We dont know how lucky we are.

Gutted I cannot play many winter comps now the clocks have gone back with the lack of daylight hours as I watch my lad play footy on a Saturday morning ( just got back now ).
May go and practice my short game on the practice area for an hour now. :)

Excellent, keep your pecker up, that should be more than enough to keep the juices flowing. Next year you'll be a chipping GOD! :)

Well, I think tomorrow might be my last game for a good few months. I normally play through winter, but the missus is due with our second in just over a week!! :)

Excellent reason to take a break, good luck, hope it all goes ok.

Great day today, drizzly all morning but it had stopped and held off for our roll up at lunch time. Managed to scramble together a 74 even after two 7s in the first 3 holes.

Had a lesson this morning first thing and then rushed straight down to my mums as she had a her first chemo session yesterday. Not been a good day and can't see me playing anytime soo as weekends will be taken up making sure she is ok

All the best with your mum Homer, hope the treatment works.

Me..... haven't played since September! Work has taken up large slices of what would normally be my free time. family others.
The work will pay for next months expenses which is good, family time is obviously very precious as the kids aren't getting any younger.

Got a week off work next week!

Imediately had visions of a few rounds on a bright crisp and fresh morning. HID put paid to that though. She's booked us into a hotel for Monday and Tuesday for a well earned mini break. Just me and her, hopefully, after all the hours I've been putting in, I just may get to know her again.

Bless her, so thoughtful. Absolutely love her to bits.
Hoping to get a couple of cheeky rounds in mid to later in the week now.

For all those getting out and about on the course..... enjoy it, IMO you're lucky to have the time!

To be honest I'm not missing it anyway. I wasn't playing great and can never really get enthused when the course is damp and it is cold and windy. Don't mind so much if it's a comp as at least there is the carrot of a top three for a good round and the 0.1 back if the mediocrity continues
