So what are your predictions for 2018-19 in the driver market
what can the O.E.M's invent to convince us to part with our hard earned.

With no particular brand in mind :D

A set of bars behind the face in the shape of an X acts like a rollcage

A shell made from microlattice

A grip that Removes & turns to adjust loft & lie

Weight ports in the face to help keep it square

A square hosel to help straighten ball flight when shanked

A rear spoiler to help keep the back end down ensuring you hit up on the ball,

Over to you

Nothing. At all. The driver manufacturers compete in the field of marketing, not technology. Or marketing cleverly dressed up as technological development. They are very good at marketing though.
So colours, shapes, promotion, psuedo-technological developments that non technical people perceive to be technological development, new jargon, buzzwords, acronyms. The usual.

Another tie up with a completely irrelevant industry. We have had Boeing, and Lamborghini, so its got to be someone big.

I am thinking tupperware.

I don't really care as I have no plans to change my driver next year.

MiB, you beat me to the graphene point. Graphene has been talked about in my industry for a while now. Clearly a clever invention but no one quite knows yet how to use it commercially in the way promised. Lots of possibles and maybes but not the big one yet. Why not golf then?

Bound to be more of the same. Promising more distance and prices increasing. I don't think it's quite reached the limits but it must be getting close. We already have adjustability and I think OEM's will just focus on more options to adjust performance

I predict club manufactures will keep telling idiots who swing the club like a girl that they will gain yards every year so they continue to splash the cash in the chase of false hope.

THE best thing to come up with will be head that will auto correct your dodgy swing and bring it through square on to the ball with a huge sweet spot.

Driver prices reduced to the point where the average golfer can actually afford to buy the current model.

I have always been a dreamer.
