The forums best holes

You cant just pick Scottish ones, although at least you have now come out of East Lothian. :)(y)

Not played much in England unfortunately. Only course in the last 15 years is Goswick. Must get out more.

BTW, my next 2 are from Troon. 6, 7, 8 is the best run of 3 holes anywhere I have played.

Jeez, hurry up folks. I've got 9 and 10 ready to go but we need to get through 6, 7 and 8 first of all :D. We have stalled. I've got nothing until then but if I miss those two I'll be gutted

Well I nominated Sunningdale New 6th and got two likes so that must mean it’s in ?

if so then I would like to nominate the 7th Hankley Common

Stunning Par 3
Sorry Phil, not going to vote for that. Agree it's a great hole but we have par 3 2nd at Ardglass and I suspect Postage Stamp 8th will win at Troon so already 2 short holes on the front 9 :)

Just to throw a contraversial one in the mix, 7th at Broadstone ;) This clip starts with the 7th

Not saying there's anything wrong with it, I like a good short par 3.
But isn't it just blown up out of proportion because it's such a novelty on a Major Championship course?

I'm assuming you are making a comment having played it a few times?
I have in varying conditions, wedge to 4 iron. The hole has everything.

Have you played it?

I have been lucky enough to play it twice and I personally think it’s a cracking little par 3. You really have to think about club selection. Get it wrong and you are screwed. That’s why it’s a great par 3.

The open doesn’t even come into my mind about it been a good hole.
