The Kendleshire, Bristol - Hole 11, 130 yards off yellow... 165-180 yards whites but into wind plays a lot longer, I've hit from 8 iron to 3 Hybrid.

3rd at Cinque Ports equally gets my vote. Great hole to play and can equally play as a hole that can enhance your score or rip it to pieces depending on the wind and conditions.
I've made easy birdies and pars there in favorable conditions, equally I've played it into the teeth of a cold wind and come up short hitting driver, and 2 x 3 woods. Great hole ??

It is painful for me. I am terrible at remembering holes and the only two that I can either remember or think are good enough are numbers 9 and 18 at two different courses. I have to check in here every few hours to see if we are close to those holes yet

Which hole is it at Royal Portrush where you stand on the tee and the waves are breaking right behind you (6th?)
I guess that is up to the individual. What makes a good hole to you? If two others agree with you then the hole goes in.
Personally it is beauty over toughness but that answer has to be taken into context with my handicap
