The forum event to end all forum events!

Just a bit of checking to do, but I am certainly keen on this one......will let you know, have things provisionally planned round then, hope not to clash!

I used to live in Forres but this course didnt exist then, but I know that coastline as I used to work on it every day at Ardesier, lovely. ;)

I am up for the 3 day option also Mike, I can arrange £5 return rail tickets from any Scottish station for anyone who can't or doesn't want to drive, just pm me and I will sort out details.

Oh, the dates were specifically designed to avoid the Easter Holidays (2nd-5th April) and the May Day holidays (the weekend after) for those who need to think about these things.

I've just watched the video tour of the course.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

It's a long trip, but I've driven it before in a day.

If there are any other Southerners wanting to car pool or share a room, I'd be seriously interested.

But as yet I really can't commit. One for the diary.

Hapless - I figure it's 40 miles to your house, then 600 to the course. We may need a late tee time...

Why dont you guys go for a Cliff Richard style "summer holiday" and convert a double decker for the trip north????

That would be arriving in style, better than a plane, thats way tooo boring, make stops all the way through Engurland untill you hit Gods country, then dont stop incase someone nicks yer wheels!!!!!!

Mike, it'd be good if you could get some brief details confirmed asap, flights will be cheaper the sooner they're booked and some of the flights to Aberdeen get booked up well in advance with the oil workers etc (one of the Manchester flights only has 3 seats left now !)

It's a definite maybe from me. Be good to meet up with some of the scottish boys. Just going to have a look and see if there's any flights from Exeter.

Any chance of playing some nice Parkland instead?

Yes im up for it. Will have to sort a car pool / lads trip to airport for all us Southern Softies heading up North.

I'm interested, though it would be this or Goswick (still in the offing Dodger?) and the society is planning to visit the area in September. Mind you going there twice is not a deterrent

HTL, I think flying would be the better option. It's a hell of a drive up to Inverness.
Maybe get as far as Edinburgh then take up Toad's offer?

the course looks excelent and it would be a pleasure to play a new links, will need to see what arrangements can be made.
Book me in as a provisional, we have the north vs south match at forest pines the next week so will have to see if I can blag it with HID.

Four days before my birthday - this would be a dream come true. Distance could be a problem from S.Wales though... My friends from Stirling are coming down this weekend, so a plot is a-hatching... :)
