the cost of the cinema these days

Price to go to the cinema is outrageous and I gave up going when it got to the point that I could buy 2 dvds fir the price of tickets for me and the wife. I have started going again since I moved to EE and get a ticket free though
Tell more , i'm with EE mobile is that the same ?.

Carer's go free at most cinemas... I get to go with the guys I support now and again. Extortionate rate though nowadays! I remember going after school and getting the ticket and a drink for a fiver!
I can remember when it was only a shilling for the matinee.

And no it wasn't silent movies and it was in colour before any smartass asks.

The current Mrs 148 wanted to go and see the new Dracula film, so we are off to the local multiplex. Its been some time since we have been to one of those. and the last time we saw a film was at the local arts centre, which was at least 3 years ago.

cost for 2 tickets???????

£23, almost double what i paid last time.
yes the magic lantern has moved on a tad:rolleyes:

There is an annual ticket worth getting which works out at peanuts if you go weekly.

Personally I gave up on sitting beside overweight nacho crunchers who usually talk at the wrong moment years ago. Converted a room with projector and surround sound and big comfy couches. No nachos allowed and you can pause for refreshment breaks:whistle:

Do seniors get a discount at your cinema .

HID hasn't liked going to the cinema for a while and to be fair I've not enjoyed the last couple of occasions, with the ever increasing costs just one of the reasons. Quite happy at the moment to wait for the DVD release or for it to come to Netflix or Virgin and watch it at home.

As stated below, you can text FILM or you can just download the EE Film App and do it through that. Then you just need to show the code that they text you at the ticket desk and you get the free ticket

well the film was OK ish, but i can't see us going again in the near future anyway.

Its school holidays up here and i don't think the place had been cleaned that well. there were so many nachos spilt on the floor it sounded like you were walking on a pebble beach. We were in VIP seats which were quite comfortable, but didnt stop the people behind kicking the seats all the way though the film. Not to mention the constant sound of slurping and crunching from petty much every single person in there eating and drinking.
