We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
The is a course in North Wales I play called Old Padeswood, and although there are no Blind par 3's, there is a couple of holes where the approach is blind because you have to run the ball down a hill or into a bowl. Is lots of fun.
One is a par 4 and with a good tee shot you can just make the top if the hill, but mostly you are pitching up and over the hill. Very hard to judge the distance because of the slope.
The other is a par 5. Very undulating from tee to green. You can be left with all sorts of approachs. But get to with 150 and you can pitch to the top of the hill and the ball will run the last 50 yards onto the green, great if the pin is on the front lower tier. If its at the higher back tier, you can over shoot and sometimes get away with the ball rolling back onto the green. Regardless, both holes are very fun to play from prety much anywhere you decide to approach from.
