Took a colleague to the driving range near work today, as he wanted to give Golf a try.
After a few tips on posture etc he walked away having struck a few half swings well. Not great mind you, but he was making contact
Interesting though was that pointing out all the basics and watching his mistakes made me check my own setup and lo and behold my irons were back to they were when I first got fitted in January.
Great example to me of getting the basics right. Been complicating things taking the basics for granted. Trying to hit Draws/fades and different shot types. Now I am happy to be sending them long and straight!
