It was yesterday in the first round Stenson and Rose. Rose hit his driver out to 330yds I think the commentator said, Stenson took his 3 wood and knocked it level.
330yds of the tee with a 3 wood.
In the summer I hit my 3 wood 352 yards and it was only slightly downhill.
I have 2 witnesses on here.
Imo he couldn't come on this forum being so short
If Stenson can't knock an iron out beyond 300yds his forum account should be closed... mods, MODS, get that charlatan off here!!
Good to see Stenson hitting form again. I like him If only he could get his distance back

Interesting to hear Paul Mac on commentary say that he was talking to Stensons caddy (forget his name but he's been caddying for a long time) in the car park at Sawgrass in April. They were chatting for 30 mins ....The caddy said he has never seen anyone play as well as HS is playing......ever. Fast forward 7 months and he was on the money (as well as probably in the money !!)

On the 18th today he used 3 wood, 3 wood and went past the pin. The hole measures 635 yards (not sure what it was playing today). I think his second shot in was somewhere around 287 yards, which equates to a drive of somewhere in the region of 348 yards. With a 3 wood. Why bother with a driver?
The distance these men hit it is incredible.
Today I had a 165 yard carry to the front of the 6th green and piped 4 iron with a cross wind and made it by about an inch.
I had 192 to carry a bunker and 238 to front of the par 5 11th and actually thought if I don't strike this well I may not make the carry.I did and came up about 10 feet short of the green and again this was a cross wind.......that would have been a 5 iron probably for these men!

On the following hole he hit a 360+ yard drive and a sand wedge into a 500yard par 4... Unreal !
