Chellie asked me to play in the ladies invitation at Fairhaven today and I was delighted to accept. We, or rather Chellie had a great front nine of 23 points, Chellie parred 2 of the par 5s when receiving 2 shots so twice scored 4 points, I wasn't really on my game but came good on the nine with a nice birdie, with a shot for 5 points.
We started the back nine well when Chellie birdied a par 5 for FIVE points. I started hitting the ball better but kept finding bunkers with both off the tee and with my approaches, sadly these coincided with a few poor holes from Chellie and we only scored 1 point on the next 3 holes. Chellie steadied her game and I finished the back nine the same way I finished the first nine with a birdie on the last, and we finished with a total of 41 points.

Sadly we missed coming 3rd on a CPO but I had a lovely day with great company and a nice meal to finished the day too.

By coincidence we did very much the same last year, a great first 2 and then a poor last 6. Maybe it will be 3rd time lucky next year.

Chellie is so close to getting a decent reduction in handicap, she played some great holes and probably beat her handicap on her own, just a shame I only really contributed on 2 holes, I really did struggle with the bunkers though.

Really enjoyed it Louise despite the bloody wind. At least it didn't rain.

You were so unlucky with all the bunkers you found and once again the 12th got us. I loathe that hole and need to get over it.
