Guess the only thing that’s on during Monday night is Prem football

It’s normally a pretty dull night for sport

It’s competing with American football and ice hockey, both sports have a Monday night match.

The timing doesn’t work for us in Europe, but it is prime time US east coast.

They're getting actors in to fluff up the crowd - go and read the advert - required for live events January through March.

It's there on the link from Flushing It that I posted yesterday. (y)
Inaccurate as usual. You obviously just read the click bait headline and didn’t read the whole article.

I wonder if they have those at Ally Pally?
Surely people can't be expcted to enjoy themselves without careful micro management?

Guess some golf fans will enjoy watching any sort of golf

No matter how dire the idea seems. I really don’t get the appeal, it’s obviously going to be cringe central as I’m not sure any of those involved have great “bantz” all while watching them bit ball into a net. Wonder if they’ll serve beer and let them throw it if someone gets an ace 🤣

Can’t recall many sportsmen etc that have “bantz” - have seen some of the highlights of those “matches” they have done and it’s cringeworthy

The simulator golf is popular at the moment though

At least it’s just 2 hours long

As mentioned, it is almost guaranteed that the 'banter' will be very cringey. I'm sure that a lot of people watching us play with our mates would also find our own version of banter cringey.

Agreed. But that’s why I don’t film my golf and post it on social media.

However, lots of people do, and get loads of views. TGL sounds rubbish but it’s infinitely more entertaining than Jimmy Bullard, golf mates etc

I'm an avid golf watcher (mainly PGA Tour and majors. with the occasional DP Tour event if I happen to be home and it's on) but I can't for the life of me think how anyone would find this indoor league remotely interesting.

They're just hitting into a simulator, trying to create faux excitement about these new "teams". Ooohh some guys playing for LA in a simulator against some guys representing a millionaire's playground in Florida, woopee doodle doo...

Who knows maybe the relaxed environment without dress codes etc might be something that gets some younger people picking up a club

It’s something new , never been done before and could be a good watch

I mentioned pages back about a year ago that this is going to be heavily centred around betting/gambling. There's folk out there that'll bet on anything

Oh and I wouldn't be surprised to find that new equipment launch's are shoe-horned into the broadcast too

I don't really think it is in reality, it's just something to do in winter when courses are shut and/or the weather is too bad to get out and have a proper game.

I genuinely don't know anyone or any groups who go out for an organised "game" on a simulator, I've never heard anyone even talk about it. No mention at the club, no mention in whatsapp groups, nothing ever. I've been abroad where courses are officially shut down for a few months and there are indoor simulators with a little bar, these are used exclusively by a handful of really keen players who need their fix while everyone else does other things, maybe a pro is giving lessons, then these places have absolutely zero business as soon as the courses and ranges open up again.

If Rory and Bryson are going head to head down the stretch in a real tournament, I'm all over it. Rory and Bryson in a simulator? Who cares :poop:
