Is it not just for a number of the test events etc

View attachment 56505

It starts on Tuesday Phil - aren't they cutting it a bit fine with the test events...

I'm sure it'll be fangdidlysuperpblydooblieawesome by the time they've got all the paid crowd stooges to wave some flags and holler some names while the golf dudes whack balls into the screen for the promo videos.. 🤣 🤣

You just know even if it’s horrendous,it’ll be “great for growing the game” 😂

Thought it would be perfect for you

It’s quick
it’s new and innovative
It will me popular due to the increase in simulator golf

And even better it’s on telly

Genuinely - I hope it works, I've already said anything that innovates the game is good for the game - my issue with TGL is it's clearly aimed directly at an American market - even the competition to win tickets to an event is restricted to residents of mainland USA. It's on in the middle of the night for most of the world so if we want to watch it, it will be re-runs with the result already known - so again, as far as sports betting goes it won't appeal globally. It's being broadcast here by Sky, why not show it for free to get some fan engagement especially with the younger generations who you would hope they are targeting.

The bottom line is this - Tiger is doing everything he can to keep the game of golf US centric, and as much as I love him for his golfing achievements, he isn't interested in the game globally, and it shows with this project.

Genuinely - you are lying through your teeth as usual. You don't want it to work, and you posted your liv propaganda in post 182 about TGL paying people to attend the event, which turned out to be untrue. Face the facts, Tiger and Rory are massive and people will pay to watch them.

As always, you come across as really bitter and sad.

My expectations for TGL are pretty low, but it's an interesting concept that is genuinely looking to grow the game and appeal to a new demographic.

TGL is not competing with any other golf event, it's going to be on Monday nights. It's competing with other sports and trying to raise the overall profile of golf. TGL should be applauded for trying something different.

Guess the only thing that’s on during Monday night is Prem football

It’s normally a pretty dull night for sport

They're getting actors in to fluff up the crowd - go and read the advert - required for live events January through March.

It's there on the link from Flushing It that I posted yesterday. (y)
