We have 3 teams (joint 1st) with exactly the same Net Score and need to determine who the winner is only the winner wins the money!)?

Given Texas Scramble is not an officially recognised format, none of the "normal" rules apply.

Has anyone got a suggestion?

Many thanks ...

If it's not written down in the competition rules then you're not going to be able to make a fair decision so, split the money three ways.

I would also go with countback using gross score.

Handicaps are irrelevant as they are in a singles medal game.

I assume that you were using handicap allowances which included decimal points eg 5.4 and not 5 and 5.6 and not 6 . It is usual in Texas scramble as the decimal point often separates the team scores.

e.g. yesterday we won by 0.6 from the players who were second.

Using what - Gross Scores looses all sight of handicaps?

It is that simple - you will have established a team handicap allowance, which you have deducted from their 18 hole score to arrive at their net score (as Jim has highlighted this isn't rounded in scramble events because if you do you (1) get a lot of ties and (2) you negate significant handicap differences because of the low % involved.)

You simply deduct 50% of each teams handicap allowance from their back 9 gross score as a first step, then move down to 33% of last 6, 16.5% of last 3 etc. This is exactly the same as would be used for any handicap medal situation under the default documented approach.

Sorry for the delay in replying....probably too late by now.
