Temp greens, should I bother?

I'm with Brendy and hate them. I can't find any enthusiasm to try and get a ball to stop of a chuck of muddy fairway and not having an opportunity to putt properly. That said we started on temps this morning because of the frost and I was one under gross for the first three holes. Once they greenkeeper put them back on proper greens from the 4th onwards it all went horribly wrong

Yea, the want has got to be there otherwise if you do go, you wil kick yourself the whole way round after the first bad hole. I spent the morning with my daughters instead.

Played my first round of the year yesterday, it could've been a real disaster.

Every hole off temporary tees, which were generally patches off mud interspersed with rough length grass meaning it was tough to tee up anything at a properly low level.

Every hole also had winter greens which were also in the worst area of the fairways.

Had to tee up on the fairways, which wasn't a major issue for me because I didn't hit too many.

Managed to post a round of 105 which wasn't too bad, all things considered. Five pars and four nines tells a story of just how inconsistent I was.

I played today and it was on temps more often than not I used my hybrid to putt with, waste of time really but it was a nice walk!
