Taylor Made Fitting at The Belfry or Wentworth

Has anyone been fitted for a set of TM's at either venue ? What was your experience like please and was it worth it ?
Are there any other TM fitting centres that uses track man etc in the Midlands that anyone else could recommend ?

Not looked into it but it could be tempting if only TM released some decent clubs akin to my current TP's and certainly better than the R9 and the R9 TP's

Interesting you say that Homer. Whats wrong with R9 TP's ? Have you tried them and if you have what don't you like about them ?

The current R9 TPs are an OK club, but almost all the pros and top amateurs who get fitted choose a different model, known as the 'b' model which a Tour-only model not generally available to the public.

In contrast, many Titleist and Mizuno players use basically the same clubs that are sold to retail.

I had a set of R9's bought in haste (the lure of a shiny object) and didn't like them. I loved the KBS shaft and the feel was pretty good but I just didn't like the look of them behind the ball and lacked confidence. I tried a set of the R9 TP's for a few weeks on the premise of replacing the standard model with the upgraded TP's but I didn't like the ball flight on them and think I'd already convinced myself I wasn't confident with them.

Fortunately the TP's were available at a silly price and so got rid of the R9's and the problem sorted itself. I would have reconsidered the R9 TP's again if Mizzy, Ping and even the Nike Combo's hadn't been released but I think the I15 and MP53 (except for the 4 iron I couldn't hit) are better options
