Tattoos

No issue with others having one but it's not something that's ever floated my boat.
My nephew's are covered in them and they, mostly, look good but......nah, I'm with James...perfection comes along rarely and should be protected.:love:

Great story, possibly true, about Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder.
When they were an item he had Winona Forever tattooed on his arm.
When they spilt he had the N and A removed so it read Wino Forever
I hope that's true....:unsure::ROFLMAO:
 
Had both my arms done from shoulder to just above elbow, hidden away in my professional environment.

I don’t regret it but if they were to disappear over night I wouldn’t be bothered either way.

My dad hates tattoos so obviously it was the first thing I did when I left home to rebel. Fortunately I was in the hands of a very talented and sought after artist so they at least look good.

Not interested in having anymore and I barely even notice them these days. Given the chance again I probably wouldn’t chuck £2k at a couple of tattoos.

I enjoyed the feeling of a tattoo though I must say. I’d have 8 hour sessions as it was the only way I could find time through booking s day off work. Enjoyable until hour 5-6 then time Would stand still.
 
Did say I'd get one if a certain sporting achievement ever occurred. It did but I didn't know anyone whose French translation I'd trust sufficiently... Can't say I've missed it.
 
I have never liked tats and did everything I could to stop my children for having them.

My daughter in particular got a lot of advice to avoid them by some of my wife's carers who had quite a few when young but regretted having them in adulthood.

She has quite a few but in places that cannot be seen when she is wearing 'normal' clothing. This does restrict what she can wear to work particularly in the summer. They are very beautiful in their own right and 'body art' sums them up very well.

Guaranteed! Part of my wariness comes from guys I know who were ex forces. Some of them got some when they went with a mate who was getting one done. They had quite a few mates and ended up with lots of little unrelated ones. There are most definitely some who have them in memory of a fallen mate which means something massive to them. Boggles the mind when you ask them “what’s the meaning behind that one” and you get “dunno. I went with a mate and chose it because it looked cool at the time” usually faded to hell and looks like a dying pigeon??

Surely you can't see that without a mirror or two.
I'm genuinely curious.
 
Haven't got any nor the inclination to get started, got a friend back home who last time I saw him had to wear long sleeves to visit his mum even in Summer as he was scared of her finding out about his.

I did once recommend to a girl that she had a page from The Beano tattooed on her back so there'd be something to read, didn't go down well.
