Taking my driver out of the bag....... for good!!

Gareth,
There is nothing wrong in playing without a driver mate....
I play alot without mine and iv no issues....

Anyone that says you cant/shouldnt play without a driver is talking complete crap.
Most club golfers could and probably would hit there 3 wood close to if not more accurate and longer than there driver but its there Ego that gets in the way...

I will admit there's noting like caning a good drive but get a look on the face's of some of your playing partners when you knock it past their drives with a 3 wood... ;)

What alot of people forget is that the average driver shaft length on the Tour is 44.5-45in..
Us gobshites are being fed the marketing hype that our off the shelf clubs are longer because it gives us more clubhead speed which translates into more distance....

But what they forget to tell you is that they are harder to control...
Kinda makes you wonder why the Pro's dont use them at that length if they'll gain so much extra yardage.

Play with your 3 wood mate and when the situation permits and the fairway opens up on a specific hole then let fly with your driver and you wont have to worry about missing fairways or getting yourself in trouble....

Thats what i do..Seems to be working to far.
